SONGBOOK ORDER FORM
Sentimental Journey Down Memory Lane
Please find attached an order form for "Sentimental Journey
Down Memory Lane" a new song book aimed at seniors for use in
long-term care residences, nursing homes, veterans' halls, and
other seniors' facilities throughout the Ontario regions of
Durham, Haliburton, Kawartha, and Pine Ridge. This project is
a collaboration between the Mapleridge Seniors (aka Senior Citizens'
Association of Peterborough (SCAP)) and OCSCO, with funding
from the Ontario Trillium Foundation.
There is a strong demand for a songbook that contains more relevant
songs for seniors' today. This demand is met with the release
of "Sentimental Journey Down Memory Lane," which contains music
that resonates with the core audience of seniors and will allow
them to participate in sing-a-long sessions by providing songs
that are pitched low enough for their vocal capabilities, and
with print large enough for easy reading. Also, playing music
with simple arrangements will help facilitate dexterity.
Music is a proven form of therapy for seniors, especially those
with Alzheimer Disease or dementia. This new songbook will help
seniors stay active, and will contribute to their living in
a healthy and active environment.
