A terra femme tampon is produced as follows:

The cotton is cleaned, softened and hygienically sterilized using an oxygen (hydrogen peroxide) bleaching process.
The cotton is formed into rolls of wadding, a length of which is rolled around a securely tied withdrawal cord.
The tampon is then tightly compressed to virtually eliminate fiber loss while it is in use.
Individually wrapped tampons are placed in a box composed of recycled paperboard.
