"TERRA FEMME" REDUCES TOXIC-SHOCK SYNDROME

In response to the often fatal "Toxic Shock Syndrome"(TSS) associated with the use of rayon tampons, BIO BUSINESS INTERNATIONAL INC. has introduced, "terra femme". Studies have confirmed that the use of 100% cotton tampons reduces the risk of Toxic Shock Syndrome when compared with rayon and rayon-blend tampons. Medical findings have found that tampons containing superabsorbent rayon fibers amplify the growth of TSS.

Most tampons on the market contain magnesium, boron, aluminum, titanium, surfactants, acids, alcohols, waxes, amines and hydrocarbons. They are not sterile and contain dioxin residue from the chlorine bleaching process and from the production of rayon. In Sweden, dioxin has been linked to uterine cancer and endometriosis. In fact, a number of successful lawsuits have been launched against tampon manufacturers in the United States.
