TORONTO -- Bio Business International launched
an innovative advertising campaign today, ignoring conventional media in
favour of mounting their ad on the Internet. Their web site address is http://www.biobiz.com/terrafemme/
Using QuickTime animation technology, the ad
pokes fun at the fantasy of at least one famous lover.
"We're pointing out that if a lover really wants to be a tampon, they
should be specific about being a non-chlorinated, pure cotton tampon."
The ad depicts one of Bio Business's Terra Femme tampons pushing a conventional
tampon off the screen -- and off the market.
"We wanted to have some fun with this media -- and get our message
across," said Bio Business president Willi Nolan.
"The evidence indicting chlorine-bleached rayon tampons in women's
health problems is mounting," says Nolan. "We're offering a non-chlorine
bleached, natural cotton alternative."
The Terra Femme web site also provides many links to information about women's
health and environmental issues and tampons.
