If there
are no Teaching Assistantships in my department, can I apply to other
departments at McGill? How
do I apply for a Teaching Assistantship? Is there an application form? When
are Teaching Assistants hired? Posting
period: March 15 – April 15, 2007 In certain cases, departments may also make Supplementary Postings, which appear in the days or weeks immediately before a course begins, and which can be posted for a much shorter length of time. Check the TA bulletin board in your department regularly, or inquire with the person responsible for TA hiring, to ensure that you know about any last-minute postings. What is AGSEM? AGSEM is the union that represents all graduate students who are employed as teaching assistants at McGill University. If you have questions about the union or would like to get involved, feel free to contact us at any time.
