Camrose International
Institute (CII)
About Us:
Working Person to Person and Community
to Community to make a World of Difference!
Since 1977, Camrose International
Institute (CII) has been helping children, youth, and
adults learn about global and ecological issues; providing
funds for community self-help projects in developing
countries, and conducting international exchanges. CII
works to promote a “conserver” not a “consumer”
lifestyle.
Our vibrant history includes working
with South Asia Partnership, schools, community and
church groups in Canada and worldwide. Currently our
partners are:
Augustana University College –
a small liberal arts and sciences university serving
students from around the world for over 90 years. AUC
has piloted a variety of work/study development programs
in Ghana and in Mexico. AUC provides office space and
support for CII.
Rotary Club of Camrose – Through
the Club’s World Community Service Committee,
CII has worked with Rotary Clubs and NGOs in India and
the Americas. From providing transportation and medical
supplies, to education for lepers, these partnerships
give us unique ways to maximize existing relationships.
Canada World Youth (CWY) is a non-profit
international organization that coordinates and sponsors
the Rural Development Exchage with CII, AUC, and UAEM.
Universidad Autonoma Del Estado De
Morelos (UAEM) is the Autonomous University of the State
of Morelos, in Cuernavaca, a city just south of Mexico
Cty. UAEM is dedicated to scientific and cultural exploration.
It provides educational opportunities to over 18,000
students for three levels of degrees.
For financial support over the years,
Camrose International Institute thanks the Canadian
International Development Agency (CIDA) and the Alberta
Wild Rose Foundation.
