
Laurie
Evan Fraser was born in Troy, New York. She came to Toronto as a
scholarship student at the Royal Conservatory of Music, studying piano with John
Coveart and voice with George Lambert. After graduating, Ms. Fraser became
a faculty member of the Royal Conservatory, teaching both piano and
theory. She has had considerable experience as a pianist, chamber
musician, vocal soloist, conductor and adjudicator. Ms. Fraser founded and
is the Music Director of the Upper Canada Choristers, a mixed voice community
choir which performs regularly at a variety of venues. She also works with
various children's choirs, as well as maintaining a teaching studio. Ms.
Fraser performs frequently and enjoys leading workshops and teaching classes on
various facets of music.
