Fundraising Dinner!

Our Annual fundraising dinner is now in the Spring!   Along with the the 3-course meal, enjoy complimentary organic beer courtesy of Mill Street Brewery and great door prizes. Come out and support the Don watershed through FODE at this wonderful event.
By Transit: Take the Subway to Broadview Station, walk south to Danforth, across the lights and one block east.
Parking: On-street and Lots north of Danforth (PAID)
Tickets on Sale May 1st!   Only $75.00 per person. A charitable tax receipt of $45 will be issued for each ticket.

Planting Events

Saturday May 15, 10AM
Windfield Park Planting, 120 Banbury Road
Join us as we add to the large planting done by students from York Mills Collegiate this past spring. We will work on adding more trees and shrubs to the over 1000 planted last year!  Shovels and gloves will be provided.

We'll be working just below the Banbury Community Centre, at the bottom of the hill. Park for free at the Community Centre.

By Transit: Take bus York Mills 95 from York Mills Subway Station east to Sandfield Road. Walk south on Sandfield Road until it turns into Penwood Road. Continue south until it curves to the left. Enter Windfields Park on south side. Walk along park trail and turn right at junction. Walk down hill. Planting site is at bottom of hill.

Saturday June 5, 10AM - 12 Noon
Goulding Estate Tree Planting, 301 Dawes Road
Taylor Creek Park

Come join Friends of the Don East as we plant wildflowers and shrubs along a wetland edge next to the Taylor Creek Park/Goulding Estate Wetland. If will be a fun morning and with enough people it won't take too long either!

Meet at the trailhead/kiosk in the small parking lot on the east side of Dawes Road, just north of Crescent Town Road.

By Transit: Take Dawes 23 bus from Main Subway Station, and exit at the Park Vista Stop.
