MATERIALS AND PAMPHLETS
The word "humanism" doesn't mean anything very specific to most people. Some people believe it means being atheist or anti-spiritual, but this is only one narrow interpretation. Indeed, there have been many different (and at times conflicting) 'humanist' points of view throughout history, and perhaps that is why the word 'humanism' nowadays is simply associated with a "concern with human beings." While this is true, it doesn't really say much.
Starting from the value that what is most important is the human being (not Money, the State, gods,
etc.), new humanists take clear positions on the many issues we face today.
One important position we take is that we believe that life has meaning and that each person can search to discover and deepen the
meaning of their life. We also believe that there is meaning in working for social change, and in this way find a coherent agreement between the personal and the social, between the
individual and society.
