Committee for Husita8 is pleased to announce that our next Husita conference, husita8, will be held in Toronto, Canada August 26th - 29th, 2007.
Toronto is one of the most diverse cities in the world. The theme of the conference will be
Information Technology and Diversity in Human Services: Promoting Strength Through
Difference. The conference will explore the myriad ways that information technology (IT)
connects people and provides functionality for a range of human needs, exploring the digital
divide, accessibility and ethical issues.
By "Promoting Strength Through Difference", the conference will encourage content
that advances knowledge and experience within the context of diversity. Innovative research and
technological developments and best practices will be featured.
The targeted audience is human service providers, tech personnel, consultants, managers,
faculty, graduate students, scholars, researchers, policymakers, software developers,
administrators and anyone else interested in the application of technology to the human
services.
