The term 'dashboard' is a rather elastic one - but basically we are referring to consoles that give easy access to detailed information on the performance of an organization. While sometimes referred to as 'executive dashboards', these dashboards have usefulness well beyond the corporate executive suite.
The example below provides data on the progress of a membership drive - it could be a business association on a recruiting campaign, a union keeping a handle on an organizing drive, a voluntary organization trying to expand its member base, etc.
It provides easy access to 80 different chart displays. You may also notice that elements of the graphs, dials and progress bars go from green to red to yellow as you pick different zones. This is the result of 'alert' thresholds being set within the program that point the user to achievement, failure and warning highlights.
