Post and Rings



The city is actually really good about replacing these damaged posts. You can call the number on the bike map (sorry I dont' have it with me), or let me know where its and I'll mention it at the next R&T sub-committee meeting I'm at.

Andy,

I know. I think the post and rings proram is one of the biggest successes
of the city's pro-cycling efforts.
The image to me is just ironic and
is more about the abuses od the automobile.

I can't tell from the picture - is the space near the ring somewhere there is an entryway to somewhere a car would normally drive, or is this one of those cases that it just flew onto the sidewalk?

I remember my bike got mashed up once parked in front of a tree in someone's driveway (and nobody owned up to it) - it seemed safe from car-carnage when I parked it. Sigh.

It looks like it got mangled by a car.
Likely by a car turning or backing up.
If cyclists had a dime for every hit and run ...
