Super Cycle
For years, I've been telling
people:"If it says 'Super' or 'Pro'
on the bike. It ain't."
Well, in a way, I was wrong
all along. And the veteranclassic
CCM Supercycle is the exception to the
rule.It's a Canadian institution.
Blue, and solid like the Canadian
shield. Thirty years later they're still on
the road and little worse for wear.
They must have used the finest
cancer-causing Hamilton steel I am sure.
They sit quietly locked onto post
and rings all over town ready for
anything we can throw at them: Heat,
humidity, rain, snow, sleet, ice
and slush. Sure they rust but they
do so with an understated elegance.
Ride on Supercycle, let those carbon and
aluminium
imposters bend, break and
shatter. You'll still be
whirling
down the road long after
they're gone.
True blue.
All steel.
All
Canadian.
Super
Cycle.
