Vince and the bike thief (by Marco Sepe)


(As told to me by Marco who in turn was told the story by ... you get the idea)

In front of the Dominion on College a bike thief is going for the steal.
It's a mountain bike he's after. But as luck would have it the owner of the bike
catches him just in time and confronts him.

"Hey, what the hell are doing with my bike?"
"Oh, just checking it out, ahem, that's all."
A loud argument starts between the two. Vince who is sitting a across the street
on the patio of the Gato Nero Cafe notices the two arguing and walks over to
help out.
"Hey, buddy. What are you doing to the ladies' bike?"
Vince demands to know.
"He was trying to steal my bike.", the woman pipes in.
"That's not true, I swear.", the bike thief insists.
Vince, who also happens to be a powerful amateur boxer, has heard enough.
He turns to the unfortunate bike thief and lays him out flat with one solid punch
to the chin. He is out cold.
Vince turns to the stunned woman beside him.
"You can call the cops now."
