  AGM 2001:
A Taste of Montreal

The Late Night Bagel Run

by Heather K. Grace

It's past midnight, and you and some PWAC-ers are discussing everything from current affairs to Richard Gere's hair. All this gabbing has given you the munchies. Too bad there's nowhere to get take out at this hour. Wait, did you forget you're in Montreal? This city never sleeps!

Head down to St. Viateur Bagel Shop Inc. or The Fairmount Bagel Bakery, which are open 24 hours a day. Watch as your bagels are baked and collected fresh from the oven. You can also buy a wide selection of cream cheeses and delicious dips like Hummus and Baba Ghannouj.

With piping hot bagels in hand, head up to the lookout on top of Mount Royal for a magnificent view of the entire city.

Relax against the lookout wall and watch the city lights shimmering in the darkness. You'll be amazed to have found a unique way to make writers quiet... if only for a moment.
