PWAC AGM 2001
The PWAC National Executive is pleased
to report that a travel subsidy will be available to all DELEGATES attending
the AGM 2001 in Montreal.
Money has been set aside in the PWAC
budget to provide a partial subsidy for delegates attending the AGM. As
usual, delegates and/or their chapters will be responsible for paying part
of their direct travel costs to the AGM. "Direct travel costs" are defined
as the cost of the delegate's travel from her home city/town by air or
train, but do not include the cost of getting to and from the airport or
train station, nor the cost of any indirect routes to the AGM. The exact amount of the cut-off
will be announced by January 31.
In the past, delegates have generally been required to pay the first $250
or $300, with the PWAC National Office reimbursing the remainder of direct
travel costs.
Delegates will receive their travel
subsidy cheque within 30 days of the AGM, provided that they have:
(1) attended all Plenary Sessions
at the AGM; and
HOW TO BECOME AN AGM DELEGATE
If you are interested in attending
the AGM as a delegate, please contact your Chapter President or Regional
Director. If you are not sure who that is, simply contact the PWAC National
Office and we will direct you to the appropriate person.
IMPORTANT: Please note that all queries
about being an AGM Delegate and/or the AGM Delegate Travel Subsidy should
be directed to the PWAC National Office, and not the Montreal Chapter hosting
and organizing the AGM.
