  Registration for PWAC AGM 2001

HOW TO REGISTER FOR THE AGM

PWAC members interested in attending some or all of the PWAC AGM 2001 events in Montreal must register directly with the Montreal Chapter hosting the AGM, as per the contact information below (i.e. you cannot register through the PWAC National Office). Non-members who wish to attend one or more of the public events, please go to the NON-MEMBER REGISTRATION PAGE.

PWAC members may register for and attend the AGM in the following capacities:

(1) As a voting DELEGATE on behalf of your chapter or region, with the agreement of your local chapter Executive or Regional Director (in which case you will be eligible for an AGM Travel Subsidy and be required to attend all AGM plenary sessions; see AGM TRAVEL SUBSIDY below); or

(2) As a non-voting OBSERVER (in which case you will be responsible for your own travel costs). We encourage OBSERVERS to register for and attend the entire AGM. However, single-event tickets are also available (see FEES FOR INDIVIDUAL EVENTS below).

AGM DELEGATE TRAVEL SUBSIDY

The PWAC National Executive is pleased to report that a travel subsidy will be available to all DELEGATES attending the AGM 2001 in Montreal.

Money has been set aside in the PWAC budget to provide a partial subsidy for delegates attending the AGM. As usual, delegates and/or their chapters will be responsible for paying part of their direct travel costs to the AGM. "Direct travel costs" are defined as the cost of the delegate's travel from her home city/town by air or train, but do not include the cost of getting to and from the airport or train station, nor the cost of any indirect routes to the AGM.

The exact amount of the cut-off will be announced by January 31. In the past, delegates have generally been required to pay the first $250 or $300, with the PWAC National Office reimbursing the remainder of direct travel costs.

Delegates will receive their travel subsidy cheque within 30 days of the AGM, provided that they have:

(1)  attended all Plenary Sessions at the AGM; and
(2)  mailed the PWAC National Office original copies of their air or train ticket

HOW TO BECOME AN AGM DELEGATE

If you are interested in attending the AGM as a delegate, please contact your Chapter President or Regional Director. If you are not sure who that is, simply contact the PWAC National Office and we will direct you to the appropriate person.

IMPORTANT: Please note that all queries about being an AGM Delegate and/or the AGM Delegate Travel Subsidy should be directed to the PWAC National Office, and not the Montreal Chapter hosting and organizing the AGM.
