The next webcast is sponsored by the Long Range Regional Economic Development Board, Sharing Our Future and the Bay St. George South Development Association. The event is broadcast locally - March 15 and 16 on FM 104.7 and webcast as well. Please note that this webcast is supported by the Victoria Free-Net Association.
Then on St. Patrick's Day we hope to webcast the Gerry Formanger Tribute concert from the Silver Dollar in Kippens, Newfoundland.
You need QuickTime 4 to listen to a live broadcast.
If you only have QuickTime 5 installed on your computer, please note that you can only listen to the archived broadcasts, not the live streams.
For more explanation, click here to link to a QuickTime Tutorial.
Again, to listen to the live broadcasts will need a free QuickTime 4 Player - click on the QuickTime logo below - it must be version 4 for a live broadcast.
The last webcast was in February from International Night at Saint Mary's University. You can ask to be placed on a mailing list for more information.
Here's what we suggest you do at the time of a live broadcast (we play music before each broadcast).
1. Connect to the internet.
2. Start the QuickTime 4 player by itself outside the browser.
3. Click file/open url.
4. Type the url that we provide you at www.ryakuga.org on the day of the broadcast.
5. This will take you straight to the broadcast being streamed from the server.
Click on the logo to download a free Quicktime 4 player
Please note we also have started to archive broadcasts in an audio format (VivoActive) that will be more accessible to computers within networks and firewalls. You will not be able to access the live stream from port 80 - only 554 or 7070.
