A Town Hall for the New Millennium

 

The Swansea Town Hall Community Center offers:
  • meeting rooms and classrooms of various shapes and sizes for groups of all kinds

  • wheelchair ramps, accessible washrooms and elevator

  • limited free parking and rear entrance for easy accessibility

  • state of the art lighting, heating and air conditioning

    Community Meeting Place & Mail Box

    The Town Hall provides a convenient and affordable meeting place and mailing address for community groups such as the:

  • Swansea Area Ratepayer's Association (SARA)
  • Swansea Area Seniors Association (SASA)
  • Swansea Historical Society
  • Swansea Horticultural Society
  • Swansea Town Hall Association
     

     

    Communitiy Archives

    Located on the Ravine level, the William Small Memorial Community Archives Room houses an on-going collection of documentation and photographs relating to Swansea. Maintained by the Swansea Historical Society, access is available by pre-arrangement with the staff.

    Swansea Area Seniors Association (SASA)

    SASA occupies three rooms on the Ravine level and uses these spaces as well as others in the building for its program of activities for senior citizens and others.

    Kids & Senior's Dental Clinic

    The Clinic is run by the Toronto Public Health Department and provides free dental care to low income seniors and children in the Swansea area.

    Swansea Memorial Library

    The smallest branch of the Toronto Public Library system. Founded in 1919 as a memorial to the Swansea veterans (22 who died and 150 who returned) from World War I. Specializes in material for children and seniors and provides complete inter-library loan services and free internet access.
