MEMORANDUM
TO:          Trillium Grant Recipients

RE:          Internet Access Grants



For those grantees receiving funding under our new program (since October 1994) who need assistance in getting online and/or creating a home page, we invite you to apply for an Internet Access grant.

Under this initiative, grantee organizations may apply for funds to gain access to the Internet through e-mail and/or the development of their own Web site. Visitors to the Trillium site will be able to access grantees directly through a hypertext link (and vice versa). This will enable those interested in a specific project to learn more about it directly from the project itself. We hope that grantees will post their evaluations and reports, as well as any other information that results from their work.

Who is eligible to apply? Groups that have received a Trillium grant since October 1994 and that need funding for an e-mail address and/or a home page.

If your organization meets these criteria, please contact the Trillium office at (416) 961-0194; 1-800 263-2887; or trillium@trilliumfoundation.org for a copy of the Application for Internet Access Grant.

If your organization does not have a computer, or does not have one that will permit Internet access without substantial upgrading, you should also request a copy of the Supplementary Application for Computer Equipment.

Funding decisions are based on the degree to which the Internet will enable applicants to enhance the effectiveness of their organization or collaborative and contribute to knowledge in the field. As well, we require a commitment from applicants to developing the necessary skills and to maintaining their site. Trillium is willing to provide assistance for start-up and online costs for three years or the duration of the grant, whichever is longer.
