HOW?

   The Trillium Foundation wants to help young people to take action on the important issues that affect your lives and increase your influence and participation in society. We are offering grants in the general range of $500 - $10,000 for groups who are willing to take on the challenge.


WHAT FOR?

   We are looking for projects designed and managed by youth that work to solve social problems related to education, employment, racism, violence or others. They must offer new and imaginative solutions, work to involve others in the community, especially other youth, and have a lasting impact.

   Projects can include meeting and organizing around issues, but they MUST RESULT IN ACTION THAT CREATES POSITIVE SOCIAL CHANGE. As well, projects must have CONCRETE GOALS to get the job done. They can include use of media such as video, theatre, music, print, the internet and others.


WHO CAN APPLY?

   Groups of young people in Ontario who are willing to take responsibility for managing the project and be accountable for the money.

   Non-profit organizations, as long as they can demonstrate that young people had the vision for the project, will make the critical decisions and manage the project.

   Fill out the application below and send us your completed form by September 30, 1996. Grants will be awarded in December, 1996.
