GETTING ORGANIZED IN CANADAA Canadian Preparatory Process for HAP 99 has been established. Individuals and organizations from the international law, peace, human rights and development communities are invited to contribute.
Through this preparatory process, Canadians are able to participate in the development of campaigns, workshops (in Canada and at The Hague) and other concrete proposals for the HAP 99 international conference.
The World Federalists of Canada (WFC) have agreed to serve as the 'administrative home' for this Canadian network and preparatory framework.
The objective is to stimulate dialogue and information dissemination enabling wide participation at The Hague and substantive Canadian contributions to the resulting 'Agenda for Action' and follow-up campaigns.
WFC will carry out these administrative and clearinghouse functions by maintaining a mailing list and a web site (http://www.web.net/~wfcnat/hapcan).
We expect that the web site will serve as an up-to-date 'bulletin board' documenting Canadian plans and preparations for the HAP. In order for this to happen, we need to hear from you!
