of Daina Green, Labour Consultant. The site gives you information
about my work as a labour consultant, translator and interpreter, and
anti-discrimination specialist. You can also check out some of the
interesting links provided here.
I've worked as an advisor to
unions, governments, and non-profit organizations since 1980. In recent
years, I have been hired jointly by organizations AND bargaining
agents to assist them with initiatives like pay equity,
anti-discrimination programs and employment equity. I consult
across Canada and in other parts of the Americas on
anti-discrimination program and policy development, including pay
equity and employment equity. I also provide Spanish language
translation services, especially to non-profits. I have placed some useful
resources for pay equity on a

some of these documents and websites. I was the last Chair of the Alliance for Employment Equity (Ontario) before it wound up its work some years ago. Let's hope 2008 is the year when Employment Equity gets back on the agenda in Ontario! I have also been an active member of the Equal Pay Coalition since the 1980s. Trained as a social science researcher, I hold a Master's degree in Human Communication Disorders from McGill University and a teaching certificate in English as a Second Language. I work in English, French and Spanish, frequently working as a simultaneous or consecutive interpreter (Spanish-English-Spanish, French-Spanish) and translator for written material.
